Other Specialities

  • Teaching Method: For all-round development of our students, we use Panchapadi teaching method which includes Adhiti, Bodha, Abhyas, Prasar and Pravachan with five-dimensional monitoring which include Physical, Mental, Moral, Vocational as well as Adhyatmic aspects.
  • Curriculum: We follow the Curriculum of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala (HPBOSE) and the textbooks of NCERT.
  • Teaching Medium: The common medium for teaching different subjects is English, Hindi and Sanskrit. Students are taught in direct method.
  • Co-Education: We have co-education in our school. The boys and girls call each other as Bhaiya and Bahan, and the students take each-other in the same spirit.
  • Kakshapramukh and Kakshacharya: In each class there are several sections. Each section has a Kakshapramukh and a Kakshacharya Student who teacher takes personal care of each student of that section.
  • Examination System: System: Each academic session includes Two Terms Exams. and Three Periodic Assessments After completion of a lesson or unit from the book there is a provision of Unit Test. Progress reports are sent to the parents within ten days of completion of each Summative Assessment.
  • Promotion Criteria: Promotion to the next class requires a minimum 90% of class attendance and 70% marks in each subject.
  • No need of Private Tuition: There is no need of private tuition for students enrolled in our school. Our classroom teaching is interactive in which the students are encouraged to ask questions and clear their doubts in the classroom instantly.
  • Monitoring: There is a provision of monitoring period on every working day in which the Kakshacharya, Kakshapramukh take care of nails and hair. School uniforms and diaries are also checked daily. The books, copies and the daily diary entry of each student is monitored.
  • Acharyas: The Acharyas or the teachers are well-qualified, trained, experienced and dedicated towards overall development of the students in friendly manner.
  • Prayer: All students and teachers assemble in the Assembly Hall for prayer and meditation. The prayer is totally based on Sanatan Vyavastha.
  • Academic Session: Each Academic session begins in the month of April and ends in the month of March.
  • Computer Education: Computer education is compulsory from class four onwards.
  • Parents-Teachers Meet: In each academic session Parents-Teachers meet is essentially held after the Terms examination. Parents can contact subject teacher, class teacher or principal whenever they want.
  • Lunch: On every working day there is a Lunch session in which all students take their lunch in the school hall after reciting the Bhojana Mantra.
  • Medical Care: First Aid in case of emergency is available in the school. From time to time a team of doctors examines the health status of students.
  • Masanta Baithak: Every month on its last working day the classes remain suspended for the students. On this day the teachers assemble with the principal to analyse the last month's experience in the school and plan for the next month.
  • Chatr bharti: Two Chhatra Sansad (Student Parliament) events are organized every year. The students from class one to five have Shishu Bharati and the students from class six and above have Bal Bharati. In the two sansads the entire activities of the year are performed. Various responsibilities are also allotted to the students. This way the students learn about co-operation, division of work and citizenship. If they require, they get help from their teachers in conducting this activity.
  • Sport: Annual sports events are organised every year.
  • Yoga: Yoga Classes are arranged weekly.
  • Transport: Transportation facilities are available also.
  • Admission Test: For Admission, a Test is organized in which objective questions are asked in Hindi, English, Math and General Awareness from the standard they have passed.
  • Minimum age for Admission is five (06) years in standard one (1) as on 1st April and the same is followed in ascending order for admission a particular class.
  • Personality Development: For developing the latent capabilities of the students’ debates, group discussions and the Jayanti celebration of Mahapurushas are regularly held.
  • Alumni: The pass out students share a lively relation with the school and whenever they come to SVM Samoli they visit the school. Annual Alumni meet is organized every year.
